Africa

After looking through the pictures i noticed many things. First of all it looks like sunlight is incorporated in almost all of them. The shots look like they were caught in the perfect moment making it look like a drawing. I also like how they're all in black and white.

This is my favorite image for many reasons. 1st of all it shows a deep message about humanity and how we killed off o many elephants. I also like how the original picture had the elephants in their spot. The line looks very long, and organized. From the angle this picture was taken you can see a lot.

The photographer used lines in this image in many ways. The trunks all show lines, and the people
are also standing in an organized line.

Brandt does not use telephoto lenses, he comes up close to the animal.

He takes these pictures to show the before and after of what they were after human interaction.

He hopes to show humans what they've caused.

"You wouldn't take a portrait of a human being from a hundred feet away and expect to capture their spirit; you'd move in close."
